This was painted on Wednesday of The Wayne Plein Air 2012 event hosted by the Wayne Arts Center. After many hours of heartfelt painting the magnificent "Willowbrook" I took a lunch break and seemed to have no other option but follow my inspiration back to yellow-springs rd to paint the detailed "Great Scott, Horse farm" . The pastoral scene with all its nuance called to me and I acquiesced. This scene had all the elements of classic American art and I enjoyed the challenge of capturing it before the fleeting light of sunset.
